Testing the D3 with an old lens….17-55mm
..It’s very interesting looking thru the view finder and seeing a box around the frame..
I guess that’s the difference between Full frame vs. the DX lenses. The files are much smaller and I can load up to xanga much faster
I guess you can’t really tell the difference from the pictures..or CAN YOU?? Maybe Dai Loe or Cmdr. Bill can tell me more!!
Anyone got the answer out there??
oh btw….the first one is my new old Sadowsky NY5… and the 2nd…. is my freind’s (Brandon) Fender Macus Miller 5…I’ll have to ship out to singapore along with other toys that are coming my way…another bass and a jazz geetar i think???
Of course I’ll shoot more pictures before shipping!!

A weekend get away..
Kids were alway on Winter Retreat..”just the 2 of us”…wait, I think that was a song..hehe
, anyway, we did enjoyed our quiet time together. We did plenty of people watching…fooding (is there such a word??)… hiking?? you’ve got to me kidding me..Birding…..and more fooding!! It was a very nice time. Of course I took plenty of pictures with my D3. We visited my bro..he’s actually doing a lot better, and thanks for all the prayers out there. I know God is working wonderful things in his life right now. Praise HIM everyday for His Greatness!!
…and of course, I ate a whole crab myself!!! Thank God I’m still walking this week. Another big show will be in town soon.

We were hiding along the Big Sur river all the way to the ocean
..but, the river was wide and no way for us to cross to the beach
…NOT going for a swim that day. 
We drove down Hwy 1 for another 7 miles and found these Condors resting all over the roof of this guy’s house..but the owner is not allowed to do anything cuz they are considered protected endangered birds. One local guy told us the owner is planning to tear down the house and rebuild it some other time when the Condors leave his place.
Back to more food to end the day
